Kezi Silverstone
No stranger to the media, singer/songwriter, actress and model, UK based Kezi Silverstone releases her new single 'Nightingale' in Ireland on October 28th. Formerly the face of the Lynx campaign and a regular TV (Jonathon Creek) and Theatre actress Kezi has chosen to nurture her fist love - that of singing. 'Nightingale' co-written with songwriter Stefan Hellstrand is the first track from the forthcoming album due for release in early 2006. Kezi Silverstone is better known for her 2003 dance hit "What A Feeling" which took the dance clubs by storm - reaching # 5. She will headline the Elton John Aids Foundation Benefit Party, in London on the 19th and 20th of November. Like her younger sister, Alicia Silverstone, Kezi is destined for stardom.

She has performed Nightingale acoustically on many of the UK radio stations including 'Schooly's' show on London's Capital FM (1 million listeners) and Mathew Wrights (former Daily Mirror showbiz ed - 500,000 listeners) LBC prime time radio show and The Sadie Nine Show on BBC London. The reaction was amazing.

After writing, co-producing and featuring as guest vocalist on the Danni-Minogue-style dance track 'What A Feeling' in 2003, which went to number 5 in three national charts and was a huge hit on the dance floors across England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Europe, Kezi hung up her dancing shoes and reverted to the sound she is more at home with. A blend of acoustic/guitar pop more akin to Meredith Brooks, No Doubt, Jewel and Lucie Silvas is a good example of the music genre that this interesting artist has previously performed at venues such as Shepherds Bush Empire & Glasgow Stadium.

Kezi has written with many top ten writer/producers including Tom Nichols (Kylie, All Saints, Celine Dion, Hall & Oates) and Alex Von Soos (All Saints, Atomic Kitten), Simon Tauber (Gina G, Atomic Kitten), Ian Catt (St. Etienne), Stuart Epps (Twisted Sister, Robbie Williams, Chris Rea, Elton John, Imperial Vipers) and has been invited to work with Chicago based writer producer Mark Picciotti (T.A.T.U, Shakira) amongst others.

'This Is Who I Am' written by Kezi, Tom Nichols and Alex Von Soos and produced by Oskar Paul and Rick Barraclough achieved great acclaim across the airways in the UK and Ireland in the autumn of 2003. This was an introduction to Kezi the real singer songwriter. This instigated many live performances with her talented band, including Live & Loud, Glasgow stadium (30,000 people) alongside acts including Blue, Darius, Sugarbabes & Mark Owen.

Kezi has also appeared live in concert as special guest of Matt Goss (Bros) on his UK Tour, which included Bristol Academy, Birmingham Academy, Grand Opera House York, Manchester Academy and Shepherds Bush Empire London. She has headlined at The Borderline, The Café De Paris, The Kashmir Klub and was selected from 600 acts to travel to China to perform for BBC World. Interest in the Far East continues.

Kezi's family resides in the United States although Kezi herself is now based in England. The former 'face' of the Lynx campaign, Kezi has spent the last few years working with various producers nurturing both her style and her writing skills. She has been working hard on her forthcoming album in between guest appearances on the award-winning Jonathan Creek. Whilst theatre/acting was the starting point for Kezi's career, she has no real desire to follow in the footsteps of her actress sister Alicia. Whilst she often misses her theatre roots, her music takes precedence.

Kezi has appeared in most national newspapers over the past few years in respect of her music, her life and her modeling career. She has also appeared on several TV shows including 'This Morning', RI:SE and 'Loose Lips'. People are drawn to her incredible story and indeed to her personal strength.

Most recently, in late February this year, a double page feature appeared in the Daily Mail supporting Kezi's forthcoming charity event and talking about her remark2able life.

She staged a charity awareness/fundraising event at Café De Paris in London's West End in March and the campaign attracted both national television and national press support. She was invited to appear on This Morning (ITV) with Lorraine Kelly and Philip Schofield to talk about her event and she has been invited to come back and perform on the show.

Kezi is an official supporter of Barnardo's (largest children's charity) and she is Patron of Friends Of Animals League (Animal Sanctuary in Kent). Kezi was herself in the care of Barnardo's as a young child. The company of animals has changed her life and as she has grown, so has her concern for their welfare. She was reunited with her natural family 16 years ago.

As a result of the success of the charity campaign in the UK, Kezi has now forged a relationship with Barnardo's in Ireland. Kezi's charity campaign manager and close personal friend Anthony Miller from Antrim North of Ireland will assist Kezi in her plight to create awareness for Barnardo's Ireland projects. Previous support of the Irish radio stations (This is who I am achieved more than 30 radio play listings in both the UK and Ireland) made Kezi feel instantly at home with the country.

Clann Records (Ireland) releases her single 'Nightingale' nationally on 4th November. Her new album will be released in February 2006. Some of her personal royalties from sales of 'Nightingale' will be donated to Barnardo's Ireland and Friends Of Animals League.
